Storytime: Figaro – Helping the Body Heal Itself

Storytime: Figaro – Helping the Body Heal Itself

May 2, 2018 Pet

DachshundFigaro is an adorable little Dachshund and a patient of mine. A few years ago, Figaro suffered a broken toe. We placed a splint on his foot to immobilize the toe and allow it to heal. After about 3 – 4 months of splinting, the toe still wasn’t healing and Figaro was still in pain. Typically, the next step would be to amputate his toe. Instead, we chose to do was a treatment called pulsed signal therapy.

Pulsed signal therapy (PST) takes advantage of the body’s own natural magnetic field and is able to stimulate healing using magnetic field energy. Pulse signal therapy, in particular, is very useful for bone and cartilage healing. In Figaro’s case, we administered nine PST treatments over the course of a week. We repeated x-rays periodically over the next month and began to see the improvement and within eight weeks, the toe was completely healed. Because of pulse signal therapy, Figaro is a happy, healthy little pup with all of his toes.

When we can stimulate the body to heal itself, we are able to improve health from the ground up and the inside out. Figaro’s story is an excellent example of doing just that.
